The Hemiwedge® Cartridge Valve is designed to utilize materials at yield strengths and hardness values compliant with the latest versions of NACE MR-01-75, ISO15156, and NACE MR-01-03 for corrosive and sour services in both production and process environments. Very few valves currently on the market can make that claim, and some even require downrating when used in sour services. This design advantage of the Hemiwedge® Cartridge Valve allows it to be furnished with a variety of alloys that provide the mechanical performance for which it was initially developed.
Alloys used for trim include various austenitic stainless steels, duplex stainless steels, super duplex stainless steels, Inconels, Hastelloys, and other alloys compatible with various corrosive fluids.
Body materials offered for the Hemiwedge® Cartridge Valves include the following:
- ASTM A216 Grade WCB or Grade WCC
- ASTM A352 Grade LCC
- ASTM A217 Grade WC6, WC9, C5
- ASTM A351 Grade CF8M, CF3M, CF8C, CN7M
- ASTM A494 Grade CW6MC, CW12MW, M35-2, M-30H
- ASTM A890 Grade 4A, 5A
