The Hemiwedge® Cartridge Valve has a stationary core which directs fluid flow through the valve without direct impingement of seats. This unique aspect of the design makes the Hemiwedge® Cartridge Valve uniquely superior to metal-seated ball valve and other valve types for services including slurries and fluid streams with entrained solids.
In addition the Hemiwedge® Cartridge Valve, which permits easy and quick repair of valve internals, can be trimmed with metal seats for services up to 750oF. The Hemiwedge® Cartridge Valve has been used within the power industry in services including fly ash removal, boiler feed water, boiler level control valves, and FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization). Valves are available in 2” through 20” NPS and in carbon steel, stainless steel, and other body materials with a variety of hard-coating options for internal components subjected to process fluids and particles.
